Halloween means trick-or-treating and CANDY for all those excited kids! Local malls in the Calgary area often offer indoor trick-or-treating, and it’s a great alternative for younger children.
October 31, 2018 Trick-or-Treating:
North Hill Centre is offering Halloween Trick or Treat from 4 – 5 pm.
Sunridge Mall is having a Halloween Event that consists of two shows: 12 – 2 pm and 4 – 6 pm. At that time there will be face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon artists, magic shows and a photo booth from 3:30 – 6 pm. T&T Honda is proudly sponsoring the candy and will be giving out candy just behind Centre Court starting from 4:30 and continuing until supplies run out!
Southcentre Mall has trick-or-treating starting at 5 – 7 pm, while supplies last, at participating retailers. Plus, if you’re looking for a sensory-friendly Halloween, they have a registered event that runs on October 28, 2018. Click here for more details.
Chinook Centre has no planned events for Halloween, but some retailers may be giving out treats.
Marlborough Mall is hosting their trick-or-treating from 2 – 7 pm on the 31st and will also have a magic show at 5 pm at the Play Park. Customer Service, Security and some stores will be participating. You can also join the Day of the Dead celebrations on October 27, 2018.
Westbrook Mall is not hosting an official trick-or-treating event but some stores may give out treats. On October 27, 2018, you can enjoy a Halloween Party at Westbrook Mall.
Northland Village Mall has no planned trick-or-treat event for this year. It will be up to each individual retailer if they wish to hand out candy.
Cross Iron Mills does not host any Halloween activities in the mall. Some of the retailers do give out candy, but it’s optional. Bass Pro Shops is celebrating the Great Pumpkin event on select October days and Halloween.
Market Mall will not be hosting trick-or-treating this year, but the Disney Store has a Haunted Halloween Party on the Saturdays before Halloween.

1. Things Are Gonna Get a Little Spooky – And FUN – During Ghouls’ Night Out at Heritage Park
Spend the weekend before Halloween with the haunted spirits of the past! Heritage Park’s Ghouls’ Night Out is one of the city’s most beloved Halloween traditions and this year it’s happening over four nights, including one with an earlier start and end time, perfect for families with early bedtimes!

With wild adventures, these fun characters will conquer fears, discover dreams, and realize the true spirit of Halloween – you can be anything you want to be!

On Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 2 – 6 pm, bring the whole family for an indoor Halloween party! There will be glow mini golf or black light bowling and you’ll love the spooky, fun-filled twists. Dress the kids up to go trick-or-treating and they will also get the chance to join the Best Dressed contest, where the “Spookiest of Them All” will win a special gift basket! Kids will love the giveaways of candy and small prizes throughout the event, plus special challenges in the mini golf course!

7. More Square Feet of Terror Than You Can Imagine at Grim Manor
Grim Manor is Calgary’s newest haunted attraction! This year it is at Winsport with over 7000 square feet of terror. There will be performances by Comedy Daredevil Ryan Stock & Amberlynn who performed on America’s Got Talent.
There are two separate attractions, one of which is suitable for all ages, Grim’s Haunted Adventures: 3D.
The other attraction, Grim Manor itself, is considerably more intense/scary and recommended for those 13+. Both are incredible and movie-quality haunted attractions built locally. EVERYTHING is created in-house.

This one is not for the faint-hearted!! Screamfest takes over the Stampede Grandstand on select evenings this October. Haunted houses, carnival games, Zombie Zorbz, Escape Rooms and more. This is NOT for young children.
